Hi. Is this happening again in 2011? And any chance of a off road winter series?

Yes, it’s our every intention to hold the series again in 2011. Over the coming months we’ll be confirming dates and assessing our current courses in light of the recent track damage. We anticipate having to make some changes to accommodate any damage that isn’t repaired in time. With regard to a winter series, our members’ focus over winter is on the already full Athletics Canterbury XC and road calendar. If you are looking for shorter distance offroad races (up to 12km), then maybe the XC season would appeal to you too.

Hi Anne, I’ve brought your question to the attention of Al, who co-ordinates the series. Hopefully he’ll be able to swing by to answer it.
Hi Annie, Al advises that the one-lap course is a non-competitive fun run, and does not attract the Athletics New Zealand fee – therefore the cost of entry is just $10.
What a fun but rough-tough course! It was a painful blast and my legs are a little bit sore today.
