Our major fundraiser for the year is happening on Sunday 20th October. This is the 7th year of the Boulder Bay Classic in its current format, and as with every year the race committee has been working hard to make sure the event is a success. The venture directly benefits all members of the club so make sure you come along to help, participate, contribute, or enjoy a great morning at the event.
The funds raised are used to keep our membership fees the lowest in Canterbury, not just in subscriptions but in the fact we also pay the race entry fees of all club members for events on the Athletics Canterbury Winter Club of the Year programme.
The money raised helps support our members who achieve regional and national representation get to National and International events.
It also goes towards providing coaches and gear for our junior athletes, both winter and summer.
Information regarding marshaling duties will come out shortly – thank you to those of you who selected the Boulder Bay option as the way you could assist the club when you registered, and to those who have volunteered outside of that. It is much appreciated.
