Great write up thanks. I am visiting NZ and signed up for the Half. I noticed that the run is on gravel most of the time. What kind of shoes would you recommend for this type of run? Would you suggest I use trail runners or can I get away with using my Newtons….

Great idea for a Christmas present! Brilliant. Best option would be to sign up as a member for until the new registration year starts in April. $30 membership form off website.

We have a team of senior /masters men that meet up on Sunday mornings at 8 at Takahe. Also a speedwork session mid week. Members also meetup to travel, train and race all over the South Island.

12.45pm to assist putting out the throwing equipment.
You should be finished around 4.30pm after putting equipment away.
Venue: Burnside High School, Greers Road (Christchurch Avon clubrooms). Report to John McTaggart (Meet Manager) or any senior official should assist
